Okay, here is the deal. I’ve hung out with Tracy. Like, in real life! We’ve eaten and drank together at these decadent themed dinners paired with wine that our friend Amy does. The last time I saw her I was pregnant with Crappy Baby and we were busy eating six courses. Of bacon. Yes, it was a bacon theme.
She told me back then about hellomellow. Actually her friend told me about her product line because Tracy is too mellow to pimp her own stuff.
This was my reaction:
Come on, I was hugely pregnant and eating bacon. Nothing else mattered.
I saw updates on her hellomellow Facebook page. I signed up for her newsletter and got emails.
And then years went by.
I finally bought some. I am in love! Why didn’t anyone TELL ME ABOUT THIS SOONER?!?
Her products are made with avocado-mango butter as a base. And pure essential oils. There isn’t any crap. It is also handmade in small batches.
She has a Preggo line as well as a Kiddo line. Which is what gave me the idea to email her. It is parenting related! I could talk about this! (hellomellow is very first sponsor that I approached begged to hang out here. That counts for something.)
But I don’t wanna talk about the Preggo and Kiddo lines. I want to talk about stuff for ME. About how I rarely buy stuff like this for myself since becoming a mother and how awesome it feels when I actually do.
I bought a body butter sampler of all the scents.
When I was hungover I really loved “balance” (bergamot, orange, chamomile) and when I’m tired (most of the time) my favorite is “rejuvenate” (lemongrass, lavender, litsea). But in the morning my favorite is “uplift” (pink & white grapefruit, vanilla). My favorite depends on my mood. Aromatherapy magic?
My kids keep trying to steal them though.
