I bought Crappy Baby one of her wool sheep toys for his first birthday:
He loved that adorable sheep like a one-year-old loves an adorable sheep. Deeply. He even learned to say “Baa” from having this sheep. So if your child can’t say “Baa” yet you probably need to buy a sheep from Woolies.
(By the way, the actual sheep is bigger than I drew it above. Please don’t trust my drawings for things like size or scale or colors or absolutely anything at all. Dang, I forgot his belly button.)

For real though…this unicorn is awesome & it would be
drooled onwell-loved by my two young boys!!I absolutely LOVE the unicorn (and the other things at Woolies too). I have 3 small kids, but is it terrible that I want the unicorn for me? Something about it just makes me smile and feel warm inside, which is something that I could really use right now. I once had a rainbow haired unicorn *just like that one* but it was a TY beanie baby. I loved it so much that when it got all nasty in a basement flood when I was 12, I lovingly washed and bleached it for what seemed like *hours* by hand, making sure not to bleach the rainbow out. Now, I don’t believe in Santa, the Easter bunny, the tooth fairy – I actually gave all of those up pretty early in my childhood… But unicorns, well, there is a part of me that deep down inside really believes they are real 🙂
I have a son now, so I can’t even say that I would like to win this for my child – pathetic, I know. But the truth is I am not done with my childbearing and really feel there is a daughter on the way someday. And someday when I get that daughter I will pass along my passion for unicorns to her, and this wool unicorn, of course… Or maybe I will keep or for myself and just buy her her own unicorn!

My 13 month old is the perfect age for a gorgeous, rainbow unicorn, but I think my 5 yr old will try to steal it, because it’s magical and beautiful and all that! So cute!

My first son developed an (un)healthy attachment to a very large quilt. Wherever we went, ket ket had to come too. This time around, I’m not mistaking the same mistake. How adorable! So, I have to relate a story…
When I was a new mom of twins 3 yr olds, I couldn’t do enough
for them but I agonized about being fair and giving
each one an equal share of all my time and devotion and
every little physical thing. Then I read a blog
with a hilarious article about how when you have
two kids, you go through stages… Suppose there is
one cookie left… at first you are meticulously fair, cutting
it into exactly 2 identical halves with the same number
of chocolate chips, weighing every crumb… then you see
that it doesn’t make the kids less competitive, so you
try dividing it according to their needs… then you realize
that the wiser decision is to eat that yourself immediately
so that it does not sow discord upon discovery 🙂
So, my point is, that *I* think the little unicorn is REALLY cute, and I have two kids :-). So if I win, I will let them play with my unicorn whenever they want!

Although I do not have any rainbow colored hand knitted unicorns on hand at the moment to verify, I think I can safely report that my daughter would love this unicorn as only a 6 year old can love rainbow unicorns, which I think probably competes with how much a one year old loves an adorable sheep.

It is weird, before my daughter Raines was born I was not much of a Rainbow person. However ever since she has been here I LOVE rainbows. I put her in rainbow striped stockings, I wear her in my Girasol Earthy Rainbow wrap, I even have a pic on my FB page called “double rainbow” of her in her rainbow striped stockings, being carried in my rainbow wrap. My mom decorated by nursery in rainbows, however, except for the curtains I still have I don’t even remember that nursery. But I would LOVE a rainbow unicorn for my girl Raines.

now on to the unicorn. i loved unicorns when i was 4 to um what am i now … never mind… i love unicorns. i hope to pass that love to my own daughter. this one would be perfect. did i mention that i was (still am) awesome at drawing rainbows. my daughter has already developed a fascination with drawing rainbows however most of the time they are in ball point ink. this woolie, rainbow, would be ever so helpful in guiding her with using colors too, hope abounds.

When I was a child my Mom made me knitted toys and I loved them. She died in December 2011 of ovarian cancer, the unicorn is a magical creature and winning one would remind me of my own magical moments as a child with my Mom.

Oooohhhh! I am not allowed to buy anymore stuffed animals, so hubby has said. (Even though 3/4s of my daughter’s collection is all my chilhood toys so really I did not even buy them) She absolutely loves unicorns, because she has my unicorn pictures in her room, but does not have a unicorn doll. I’d like to keep this for myself. But I won’t. My daughter has tons of My Little Ponies (some are unicorns) and loves them. They are not soft toys. Rather uncomfortable if you sleep on one. I think the rainbow unicorn is ultra groovy! My grade 7 teacher once told me in a class project that my last name means “unicorn” (probably in some long lost celtic language). So I feel the rainbow unicorn and I are soul mates. I long to cuddle with it… alongside my soon to be 3 year old daughter of course! I also think this blog is the salvation site for mothering. I have to say the coffee and wine post saved me from days, if not years, of unnecessary guilt. My 3 month old Lauren would adore a rainbow unicorn… She’s quite advanced and loves animals of all sort, real and imaginary. Not that unicorns are imaginary. Apparently unicorns aren’t only for little girls. My oldest (3) loves rainbows, even has the order of the colors memorized (ROY G BIV – only he doesn’t need that to remember. His puppy is becoming quite a patient with his tail and ear falling off. It would be awesome to win a replacement. I totally saw that rainbow unicorn when you posted it and it reminded me of Rainbow Brite, which I was obsessed with for several years of my early childhood, and it made me smile. I think that unicorn is probably the greatest kids toy I’ve ever seen! It kind of makes me reminisce about the days I had one of those Rainbow ponies that had a spinning tail, you know the ones, except this one is environmentally friendly and made sustainably 🙂 totally cool!

My daughter had a unicorn very much like this one when she was very young. She named it Kelliburgie (kell-ie-bur-jie or something like that). She always came up with the most “interesting” names for her stuffed toys.

How adorable! I love Rainbow! This is totally bringing up memories from childhood and playing with Rainbow Brite dolls. Rainbow Brite had a magical horse named Starlite that had a rainbow mane and tail. Oh, to be young again!

Holy non-crap! My daughter would LOVE this! I ask her every morning if she had sweet dreams and when she tells me that she did, I ask what she dreamed about and her answer is ALWAYS, without fail, “Rainbows and unicorns.” I think she would have a toddler-gasm if she got this beautiful unicorn!
The unicorn is super cute and so is the sheep. My 21 month old loves animals of all kinds. Its fun going for walks around our house because we live in a rural area and she can see cows, sheep, ducks and horses. What a good way to learn “baa”!
