Happy New Year to All The Mamas!

Remember those days in 2011 when the laundry was done, the dishes were washed, the floors were mopped, the groceries were bought, your project was finished and the kids were napping at the same time?

Thanks. We can dream, can’t we? Thanks for all the laughs—you’re putting into words (and Crappy Pictures) what so many of us are experiencing. May you have a wonderful new year.

  30. May your children rise to greet you – but only when you want them to.
May your glass of wine be always full – but not because you haven’t had a chance to take a sip.
May your personal ablutions be plentiful – ’cause, Dear God, sometimes we just want to bathe.
And may you find many, many more things that make you smile – because then you draw and write and the rest of the Mama World smiles with you.

Thanks, Amber, for making me laugh this year. Here’s to an awesome new one for you and your fam.

  39. Eurika says:

Brilliant idea. I suggest a whole line of Crappy Pictures cards. Seriously, I bet they’d sell. Calendars, mugs, T-shirts, onesies, bumper stickers and tote bags too. If you find the right business partner to do that side of things, I urge you to totally go for it!

  40. mpfanny says:

Happy New Year to you too Mama!

  41. Lisa says:

Ha ha ha! Thanks for the laugh! Happy New Year! ๐Ÿ™‚

  42. Robin says:

I love that it looks like, for you, a bath is your most luxurious and glamorous indulgence. I remember when you posted at TFB and you were relaxing in the tub in that one, too, figuring out where to put your bag of riches.

I, too, treasure a good bath. It’s hereditary, got it from my mom. But I don’t have a bathtub, so it’s the first thing I do whenever I stay someplace else.

  43. Wendy Irene says:

Happy New Year, Amber! Thank you for all the laughs last year. I look forward to many more in 2012! Much love

  44. Misty says:

LOL, That would be amazing. I wouldn’t be able to relax! I’d be worried it was the calm before the storm!!

  45. chasmyn says:

Happy 2012! Here’s hoping you have lots of those days in 2012. I know, I’m pipe dreaming, but you never know! Spa day where the Hubby cleans the entire house and cooks while you’re gone? A Mama can dream….

  46. Lidia says:

Happy new year! You are hilarious by the way. Every single post has made me literally laugh out loud. My family officially thinks I am a crazy person because I just discovered you and have read all your posts in a matter of two days. So, basically I have been laughing to myself a little to much recently. Please keep this up. ๐Ÿ™‚

  47. Kristine says:

Happy New Year! I would settle for an hour like that. I usually just give up and chill out in the middle of my toy covered living room. Thanks for all the laughs in 2011. You’re the best.

  48. Same to you Dear,I really enjoy my new year’s eve celebration because the whole family are complete to welcome the year of the dragon.

  52. teachermommy3x says:

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your blog is awesome! Sometimes, I love the reader comments as much as the blog. I don’t have much of a social life these days as I have three small children and work full time with a crappy commute. My husband’s family, who live nearby, do NOT get me…but you all do. Happy New Year!

  53. Kel says:

I DO! But none of them happened since my baby was born on April 27th.

A very happy new year to everyone.
