In case you are new here, this means this isn’t an actual illustrated post.
It means I have other stuff to share.
The thing I have to share is…this site has been nominated for Best Parenting or Family Weblog in the the 2013 Bloggies. (Which is like the Oscars for blogs except I don’t have to wear a fancy dress and walk down a red carpet wearing heels. Thank goodness, that sounds stressful and I don’t have a fancy dress.)
Some people have asked how to vote. Thank you! Here is how…
If you’ve already voted (thanks!) or don’t want to (that is okay!) then just skip this whole post because it will only annoy you and waste your time.
Go to the site and you’ll see this:
If you see that then you are on the right page. If you see kittens in a basket you are on the wrong page.
Try again. Go HERE.
Then you will need to scroll down, down, down, down to just past the middle of the page until you see the Best Parenting or Family Weblog category. I’m in it! As are four other really super awesome websites that you totally shouldn’t vote for.
There is a button in the lower right hand corner of the square image. Click it.
It will make a little check mark in the button. I don’t have an image of this part. I’m so very sorry.
Then you scroll down, down, down, down until you get to the very bottom of the page. And it looks like this:
You have to type in the words. Yours will be different! Tricky! And then you have to enter in a real email address that you can access. Then you have to press the Submit Your Nominations button.
Then later (I guess sometimes it takes a bit) you will get an email with a link in it that you have to click to prove that you are a human and not a robot. And then you have voted! Thank you so much!
Oh, you can vote in all the other categories too. If you have, like, tons of free time and stuff.
One of my parenting category co-nominees and blogging friends, People I Want to Punch in The Throat, was also nominated for flippin’ Weblog of the Year. How cool is that? So you should vote for her. She and a bunch of other funny writers just published a book, I Just Want to Pee Alone

Yes, this is basically the same post as last year for those of you who might remember it.
I feel weird asking you guys to do yet another thing. “Pre-order my book! Fill out a form for a sticker! Vote for me! Send me a hot tub!” (Just tossing that last one in there. Fingers crossed.) But if you don’t ask, well, you’ll never get a cookie.

I’m still trying very hard not to sulk a little bit about not being able to have your special sticker thing for pre-ordering your book (which I did with a big excited smile on my face and everything!)
